Taija Sites, LCSW

Taija Sites, LCSW

Psychotherapist
190 E 9th Ave, Denver, CO
I partner with clients to create a safe, empowering space and utilize a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to support them in deepening self-awareness, building internal support, and processing difficult life experiences. I strive to guide clients back to connection with themselves, their communities, and their environment. I particularly enjoy working with BIPOC and the LGBTQIA+ community. I work with children, adolescents, and young adults who are navigating life transitions, experiencing anxiety, and/or have been impacted by trauma. I tailor my frameworks and modalities to each client's needs but typically integrate mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). In my work with young children, I utilize play therapy. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I will always complete a brief consultation call with potential clients to give/get some additional information and ensure that we are a good fit for each other! If we decide to move forward, I plan to take some time to get to know as a person. I am to build a trusting and supportive relationship with all of my clients before diving in. My time with clients is general spent utilizing talk therapy with some additional modalities as needed - I customize our time together for your needs!
