"The provider is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern" You're doing well on the outside — but internally you feel anxious, stuck, and like you keep repeating the same patterns no matter how much you understand them. You're self-aware, driven, and tired of managing symptoms that never fully go away. Maybe you've tried therapy before and felt like something was still missing. That's exactly where I come in. I'm a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist in Miami working with adults and teens (15–18) who are ready to stop coping and start actually healing. My focus is anxiety, trauma, and the emotional and relationship patterns that don't change through insight alone — the ones that show up in your relationships, your inner dialogue, and your body. My approach is integrative and depth-oriented. I combine trauma-informed therapy, somatic work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and emotional processing to get to the root of what's keeping you stuck. Sessions are warm, collaborative, and direct. I will gently challenge you — because that's where real change happens. I work with clients in North Miami, Aventura, Sunny Isles, and virtually throughout Florida. Sessions are available in English and Spanish. If something here resonated, that's worth paying attention to. A free 15-minute consultation is a simple, no-pressure first step.

What should a new client know about working with you?

A few things to know before we start: My style is warm but direct — and I don't shy away from hard truths. I will name what I see, even when it's uncomfortable, because that moment of honest reflection is often exactly what creates a shift. Clients frequently tell me they've never had a therapist who helped them see themselves so clearly. This isn't therapy where you leave feeling comfortable but unchanged. You'll be challenged — with care, but without sugarcoating. Sessions are experiential, not just conversational. Depending on what you're working through, we may incorporate body-based awareness, guided visualization, IFS parts work, or emotional processing exercises. Lasting change happens when we engage the whole person — not just the thinking mind. I work best with people who are genuinely ready to grow. You don't need to have everything figured out — but showing up with openness and willingness to go deeper makes all the difference. I want to be transparent: I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI), completing my U.S. licensure — but my background goes well beyond that title. I have nearly 10 years of clinical experience across Mexico and the U.S., working with trauma survivors, adolescents, adults, and seniors in individual, group, and family settings. I trained and practiced clinically throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Miami, and across multiple clinical settings including Jewish Community Services, Lotus Counseling Center, and with survivors of domestic violence. I am currently close to completing my supervised hours and expect to be fully licensed by the end of this year. Sessions are $175 (50 min) and $250 (90 min). I am private-pay only.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Before we dive into the work, I take time to understand you as a whole person — not just your symptoms or the reason that brought you in. That means we'll explore what makes you you: your history, your relationships, your family, your culture, your spirituality, your body, and everything in between. The more I understand your full picture, the more personalized and effective our work together can be. From there, we build a picture together — not just your symptoms, but the patterns underneath them. Where they came from, how they show up in your body, your relationships, and your daily life. This deeper understanding becomes the map for our work together. Sessions move between insight and experience. We might explore something that happened this week, trace it back to an older pattern, and then work through it somatically or emotionally — not just talk about it. I draw from trauma-informed care, somatic therapy, IFS, attachment-based therapy, DBT, and emotional processing depending on what you need. Progress in this kind of work isn't always linear, but clients consistently report feeling more self-aware, less reactive, and more at ease in their relationships and within themselves. I offer a free 15-minute consultation before we begin so you can ask questions, get a sense of my style, and decide if this feels right. The fit matters as much to me as it does to you.
