Getting to know Talia Weiner

As a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Yeshiva University, I believe that strong, meaningful relationships—including the one you have with yourself—are at the core of personal well-being. I recognize that each individual is unique, which is why I take a flexible and personalized approach to therapy. By drawing on your strengths and tailoring methods to meet your specific needs, we’ll work together to find solutions that support your growth, nurture your relationships, and improve your quality of life. Therapy is a collaborative process. I strive to create a safe and open environment where you feel empowered to explore your goals and challenges. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you navigate life’s challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel both nerve-wracking and exciting, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe therapy works best as a partnership—we’ll create a safe, trusting space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. In our sessions, I draw from evidence-based practices while remaining flexible and intuitive. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach in therapy; I adapt my methods to meet you exactly where you are. My goal is to help you uncover your strengths, foster meaningful connections, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and confidence. Whether you’re seeking to improve relationships, gain clarity, or take steps toward a more fulfilling life, I’m here to guide and support you. Together, we’ll create a path forward that feels right for you

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Every client is unique, so I approach our work together with flexibility and care. In our initial session, we’ll take time to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and begin building a strong foundation of trust and understanding. This is a space where you can share openly at your own pace, without judgment or pressure. All sessions are held virtually. As we continue, sessions are guided by your specific needs and preferences. We might focus on developing practical tools to address challenges, explore patterns in relationships or behaviors, or work toward cultivating greater self-awareness and personal growth. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, meaning we’ll build on what’s already working in your life while addressing areas that feel stuck or challenging. A typical session is conversational and client-centered. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness practices, tailoring each session to fit your goals and experiences. Above all, my goal is to provide a supportive, safe, and empowering environment where you can work toward meaningful and lasting change at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
