Originally from New Jersey, I earned my B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I moved to New York City in 1997 and completed my MSW at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. In 2000, I completed a certification in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Post Graduate Center for Mental Health. Immediately after moving to Florida later that year in 2002, I completed additional coursework at Barry University and obtained my social work licensure in Florida. I have worked with children, adolescents and young adults in several areas utilizing a diverse spectrum of training for 25 years. These include loss and bereavement, trauma, crisis, eating disorders, anxiety, depression and adjustment disorders. I started my private practice in 2003 in Miami. Using my background in several orientations and theories, along with experience gained over a long clinical social work career, I conduct comprehensive assessments that best address areas of emotional and behavioral concerns. I stay up to date on all the most effective training and information and aim to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment by meeting each individual where they are in their struggles and development. This process helps one discover the inherent strengths that allow change to happen ensuring best therapeutic results.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
