Getting to know Tameka Franklin

I have a special focus on helping kids and teenagers who show disruptive behaviors, starting as young as four years old. If your child or teen is having anger management including verbal or physical aggression, family conflict, substance use, or bullying then I just may be the therapist to meet your needs. From the first session, I make sure to include parents. I believe in creating a strong bond between me, your child, and the family. This way, everyone is involved in your child’s path to improvement. I use different methods, like acting out roles and playing games that focus on social skills and controlling emotions. These methods have been very helpful, especially with my younger clients. After working with me, kids usually have better control over their emotions and improved communication skills. It’s always a mix of happiness and sadness to see them grow and then be ready to face the world with what they’ve learned.
