Hi there, I'm Tammi! I am humbled and honored to be working with you. I can't wait to see what God has in store for you as we travel this path together My focus I have a passion for working with those who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and or domestic violence because I have the humbling opportunity to witness God's transforming power before my eyes. I would love to walk with you through your journey to show you how much God loves and cares for you, even if you can't see it right now. My approach I like to approach situations from a narrative perspective because it's your journey and your experience. What I love about the Narrative approach is that one is able to read how God can take a tragic situation and turn it into a masterpiece. My communication style I believe that my communicative style is warm and humorous. I love to listen. We can walk through the anger and the tears. I also love to laugh. I also love to watch my clients laugh and experience joy that God wants them to experience My journey to mental healthcare I chose this path because I also experienced childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. I didn't think that the pain would ever go away. I was helped by a very kind and compassionate Christian counselor. She helped me to view myself the way God sees me, a beautiful daughter with a purpose! That's what I want to show you! You have purpose! My goals for you I assist my clients in reaching their goals by first hearing their stories, the troubling parts of their stories (such as flashbacks and or PTSD symptoms), identifying the triggers, and a coping skill such as scripture reading or prayer to assist in change Our first session Our first session will open by asking the question "What brings you here today?"
