What should a new client know about working with you?

I use an eclectic approach when working with clients because no two people are alike, so no two approaches should be alike in counseling. I use a variety of approaches to counseling, including a neuroscientific approach, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, family of origin, solution-oriented and short-term counseling. I employ a variety of techniques to assist you in clarifying your goals for change and taking steps in the desired direction.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients can expect their first therapy session to be a calm and supportive conversation focused on understanding their concerns, goals, and what brought them to counseling. Whether they choose an in-person appointment or a secure telehealth session, I will walk them through what the process looks like, answer any questions, and begin building a safe, trusting space where they can speak freely. This initial meeting is designed to help the client feel comfortable, informed, and empowered as they begin their healing journey.
