What should a new client know about working with you?

I’m Tammy Rome, a Licensed Professional Counselor, clinical supervisor, and Clinical Director of Telespera Counseling. I specialize in treating chronic pain and medical trauma, with a special emphasis on migraine and headache disorders. I have over 20 years’ experience treating trauma of all types, from domestic violence, child abuse, spiritual abuse, sexual violence, emotional abuse, narcissistic abuse, auto accidents, natural disasters, and combat trauma. I also have 15 years’ experience in patient education, advocacy and treating chronic pain. I’ve been in clinical practice since 2009, in private practice since 2012, and offering telehealth services since 2014. I passionately believe that everyone can grow and change, no matter their background or life experiences. I bring this confidence to every therapy session, actively seeking to bring out the best in each person. No one is beyond hope; healing is always possible. I’ve dedicated my practice to telehealth because it meets the needs and preferences of most people, and it aligns with my desire for a healthy work/life balance. This way, I always share my best self with those I serve. I love working with overachieving, perfectionistic people-pleasers. You’re successful, and everyone knows it, but no one would guess how much you worry and second-guess yourself. Behind the scenes, you’re overwhelmed with taking care of everything and everyone, and you’re convinced that one wrong move could send your carefully crafted world crashing down. My specialty is working with anxious over-achievers who who’ve been through a lot and keep on going. I see you. I understand you. I’ve been where you are. If this sounds like you, let’s chat and see how we can work together to bring you some real relief.
