What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic style is person-centered and strengths based. I use different skills and strategies based on the client's needs and personality. Something unique about my approach to therapy is my use of humor while being direct in challenging negative thoughts and my use of creative interventions and activities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the beginning, we are getting to know each other and establish goals for the therapeutic journey. I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is crucial to progress. People who work with me feel heard, respected, and challenged to dig deeper. We will create a safe space to practice the skills or thoughts that can be used outside of our appointments to help lead to a healthier life. My style is to utilize the strengths you already possess to help resolve the stressors or difficulties in life. Each time we meet, you will learn something new about yourself, how you view the world, or what are your next actionable steps.
