What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can openly explore life’s challenges while feeling empowered to grow and heal. I take a compassionate, collaborative, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. While I will gently challenge unhelpful patterns when appropriate, I also recognize that healing happens at your pace. Together, we’ll identify your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to face it alone. I believe every person has the capacity to heal, and I’m honored to walk alongside you in that journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session focuses on getting to know you—your story, current concerns, personal strengths, and the goals you’d like to accomplish through therapy. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and experiences. As therapy progresses, each session is guided by your goals while incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and person-centered techniques when appropriate. Sessions may include learning new coping strategies, processing emotions, exploring patterns, strengthening relationships, and practicing skills that can be applied in everyday life. I often provide practical tools, reflection exercises, or homework between sessions to help reinforce progress. My goal is not only to help you feel better but also to equip you with the confidence and skills to continue thriving outside of therapy.
