Hello there! I am Tara and I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and am a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in a variety of mental health related issues. I have over 12 years of experience treating the adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations. I have worked in a variety of settings, providing services for the criminal justice population, populations designated with a serious mental illness (SMI), populations struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, etc. I take a holistic approach to therapy and incorporate psychoeducation on physical, nutritional, financial wellness and the impact on mental health. It is important to meet clients where they are at currently with their mental health struggles and breathwork, yoga, and meditation are integrated into sessions when appropriate. I am trained and have experience in EMDR and CBT, as well as various other evidenced-based modalities to support clients in reaching their goals toward mental wellness. Clients can expect a safe and open-minded environment to be challenged and empowered to make sustainable changes.
