Tara Green, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
If you’re successful on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in your relationships or work, you don’t have to keep pushing through it alone. I specialize in helping high-functioning adults reduce anxiety, quiet overthinking, and feel more grounded and confident in their daily lives. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a warm, practical, and supportive approach. My work focuses on anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Clients often come to me when they’re tired of “holding it all together” and want tools they can actually use between sessions. In therapy, we’ll work on building emotional regulation skills, strengthening boundaries, improving communication, and understanding the patterns that keep anxiety and relationship stress going. My style is active and collaborative — I offer guidance, structure, and strategies while also making space for what you’re feeling. I offer telehealth sessions for adults in Florida and New Jersey. I accept several major insurance plans and also offer private-pay therapy for clients seeking a more personalized, growth-focused experience. If you’re ready to feel more calm, clear, and connected, I’d be honored to support you. I work with motivated adults who want to better manage anxiety, improve relationships, and feel more in control of their emotional well-being. Sessions are active and goal-focused, with practical strategies to support change between sessions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space that is also practical and goal-oriented. I take an active, collaborative approach and will often offer tools, strategies, and reflections to help you better understand your patterns and manage anxiety more effectively. We’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable while still gently moving toward meaningful change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We usually begin with an initial session focused on understanding what’s bringing you in, your goals, and what you’ve already tried. I’ll ask questions about your current stressors, anxiety patterns, relationships, and what you’d like to change, while also making sure you feel comfortable and understood. In ongoing sessions, we focus on both insight and skill-building. This may include identifying unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, learning emotional regulation and stress management tools, and practicing healthier communication and boundaries. Sessions are collaborative and practical, and we regularly check in about what’s working and what needs adjusting. Therapy is not about being perfect or having all the answers — it’s about building awareness, support, and tools over time so you can feel more confident and grounded in your daily life.

More information on payments and coverage

Insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan. I encourage patients to check their specific mental health benefits, including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance, prior to the first session. My office will submit insurance claims when applicable, and any patient responsibility is due at the time of service. For clients using private pay, payment is due at the time of the session. I accept standard electronic payment methods. If you have questions about coverage or payment prior to your appointment, I’m happy to review what information is available and help clarify the process as much as possible.
