Psychotherapist
NJ
Hi there, I'm Tara! I am a licensed clinical social worker and alcohol and drug counselor based in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families build resilience through evidence-based therapies like CBT and DBT. My practice, Never Sink Therapy & Resilience, is dedicated to empowering growth, healing, and calm through life’s storms. My approach I believe therapy should feel supportive, practical, and empowering. My goal is to give you a safe space to talk through life’s challenges while also learning real tools you can use every day. Together, we’ll focus on building resilience, finding calm in the chaos, and moving toward the life you want. I use approaches that are proven to help, including: CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): Learning new ways to think about and respond to challenges. DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy): Practicing skills for managing emotions, stress, and relationships. Mindfulness: Slowing down, being present, and creating more peace in daily life. Trauma-Informed Care: Making sure therapy feels safe and respectful of your past experiences. Every step of the way, I tailor our work to fit your needs and your goals. My focus I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and stressful life transitions. I am especially experienced in treating conditions such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as co-occurring challenges related to substance use. My approach combines compassion with evidence-based methods to help clients build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and develop the resilience to move forward through life’s storms. My communication style In my sessions, I strive to create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel truly heard and understood. Working with me feels collaborative and encouraging—I meet you where you are and help you
