What should a new client know about working with you?

As a fellow Christian, I understand how personal and important your faith is—and how hard it can be when your spiritual life or mental health starts to feel confusing or scary. Whether you're dealing with intrusive thoughts, wrestling with doubts, or trying to heal from spiritual hurt or abuse, therapy can give you a safe space to process and begin to heal.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a personalized, strengths-based approach to therapy that combines proven clinical methods with a sensitivity to your spiritual journey. Here are a few approaches I use: EMDR therapy to help with trauma, anxiety, and OCD Parts work (like Internal Family Systems-informed EMDR and Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy) to explore the different “parts” of you and how they’ve learned to cope Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT)—a powerful, newer approach for treating OCD Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy for those who are exploring, questioning, or healing in their Christian faith. In our work together, we’ll gently unpack the beliefs or patterns that have been keeping you stuck and help you move toward more clarity, confidence, and peace—both emotionally and spiritually. Usually this process looks like ... 1. Assessment: Getting to the root of what’s triggering your symptoms or distress 2. Psychoeducation: Learn simple, effective ways to calm your body and nervous system 3. Work through deeper struggles and disempowering narratives (via EMDR, I-CBT, etc.) 4. Reconnect with God’s peace—and rediscover the strength that’s already within you
