I know first hand the challenges life can throw your way. During difficult times, you may find your mind reverting back to unhelpful thoughts or behaviors. These unhelpful patterns and responses can seem to take a hold of your life. My goal is to motivate and assist you in gaining the skills that will support your journey. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive clinical experience working with diverse populations struggling with chronic illness, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and difficulty adjusting to life transitions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach incorporates behavioral therapies and mindfulness-based practices to help you better understand and accept your emotions and make room for difficult thoughts and feelings that arise. With a focus on how behavioral patterns evolve over time, my aim is to help you take effective action in areas you can control and make improvements in the areas of life you value. I strive to offer a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment so you can create the change you are seeking. In addition to my therapeutic work, I have over 25 years of experience providing Clinical Social Work in Chicago area tertiary hospitals. I have assisted clients in managing the challenges chronic health conditions can present, and I am also familiar with treating substance use disorders utilizing mindfulness-based sobriety and motivational interviewing techniques.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will start where you are and explore what lead you to seek therapy. Our first session involves identifying your goals and what’s truly important to you. This paves the way for values-based work right from the start of therapy so you can achieve the outcome and change you are seeking to actively create a better life. I offer 15-minute free phone consultation to provide potential clients an opportunity to ask questions regarding my experience, approach, and availability, and to discuss your needs and goals.
