Tarmara Holder, LISW - CP

Psychotherapist
NC
I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices that empower clients to better understand their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I integrate several therapeutic modalities in my work, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based approaches. Through these methods, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful or “stuck” beliefs related to past experiences, strengthen personal motivation for growth, and develop greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the present moment. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore difficult emotions and experiences. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore difficult emotions and experiences. Together, we work to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate healthier perspectives that support long-term well-being. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are navigating trauma, stress, life transitions, and mood or anxiety-related concerns. Whether you are seeking to process past experiences, manage overwhelming emotions, or build new coping strategies, therapy can be a powerful step toward healing and personal growth.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
