Tashai Gilman-Brown, LPC

Psychotherapist
2000 Powers Ferry Rd, Ste 2128, Marietta, GA
Hi, I’m Tashai! I’ve been practicing as a therapist since 2020, supporting voluntary clients as well as those navigating court mandates or DFCS involvement. I specialize in individual, couples, and family counseling, with a focus on anxiety, depression, anger management, parenting skills, trauma, substance use/abuse, and co-occurring disorders. In addition, I have experience working with clients through Recovery Treatment Courts, where I helped guide individuals on their journey to sobriety while emphasizing the importance of prioritizing mental health. My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and replace negative thoughts and behaviors with positive, healthy alternatives. For those who know where they want to go but need help getting there, I apply a Person-Centered approach. This involves creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where I listen, encourage, and support while respecting your individual experiences. You are in control of your journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you. A little about me: I was born in Jamaica and have lived in the United States for most of my life. I was raised in a Christian home with my mom and brothers while spending summers visiting my dad and grandparents in Jamaica. Today, I’m a proud wife and mother of one. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and traveling. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I firmly believe in meeting clients where they are. Together, we can create a personalized treatment plan and set SMART goals that empower you to achieve the changes you desire. Let’s work together to build the life you envision!
