Hi, I’m Tasherra Ward, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), and I’m here to support adults navigating the emotional ups and downs of life. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, stress, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to face it alone. My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe healing begins with being heard and understood in a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and empowering. Together, we’ll work at your pace to identify what’s holding you back and build strategies for moving forward with clarity and confidence. I offer weekday appointments between 4PM–9PM to fit into your schedule. I accept Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, as well as private-pay clients at an affordable rate. Therapy is not about being “fixed”—it’s about being supported as you grow. If you're ready to start your healing journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are respected and valued. I take a collaborative approach to therapy — that means we’ll work together to identify your goals and move at a pace that feels right for you. My style is warm, grounded, and honest. I believe in helping you build insight, develop practical coping tools, and feel more confident in your ability to manage life’s challenges. Whether you're navigating anxiety, past trauma, relationship stress, or just feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to listen and support you with compassion and care. You don’t need to have all the answers before starting therapy — just a willingness to show up for yourself. I’ll meet you wherever you are, and we’ll take it one step at a time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to work on, and any background that feels important to share. This helps me understand your unique story and tailor our work to your needs. From there, sessions typically include space to talk through current challenges, explore patterns that may be showing up in your life, and develop tools to support your mental and emotional well-being. I aim to strike a balance between creating a space to express yourself freely and offering strategies you can use outside of sessions. I check in regularly about how therapy is going, what’s helpful, and what we might want to shift. You are the expert on your life—I’m here to walk alongside you, offer support, and help you create meaningful change at your own pace.

We keep things simple. A card is kept securely on file, and your copay (if required) is charged at the time of your session. We’ll bill your insurance for you, and if your plan leaves a balance (like deductibles or coinsurance), that amount will be charged to your card once your insurance processes the claim. You’ll always receive a statement for your records.
