What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy is a collaborative and compassionate process tailored to your unique needs, goals, and life experiences. When we work together, you can expect a safe, judgment-free space where your identity and background are honored, especially if you identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, or belong to other historically marginalized communities. My approach combines evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, relational therapy, and family systems. I focus on building resilience and personal growth while addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, parenting challenges, and more. I also understand how important it is to feel heard and empowered. Together, we will create a strengths-based treatment plan that fits your pace and preferences. Communication is key, so I welcome your questions and feedback throughout the process. Outside the therapy room, I bring my experience as a corporate speaker and mental health advocate to support clients with tools to build belonging, reduce stigma, and sustain well-being in all areas of life. If you are ready to invest in yourself and work toward meaningful change, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we begin working together, I start with an initial intake session where we get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. This is a collaborative space to discuss your goals, concerns, and any immediate challenges you’re facing. I’ll also gather important background information to understand your unique life context and mental health needs. From there, I develop a personalized, strengths-based treatment plan tailored specifically to you. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, relational therapy, and family systems theory. My work is culturally responsive and affirming, especially for clients from BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other historically marginalized communities. Throughout our sessions, I emphasize creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and empowered. We’ll work together to build resilience, process emotional challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, and foster growth in your personal or relational life. I continuously collaborate with clinical supervisors and peers to ensure you receive high-quality care, and I maintain professional standards with clear documentation and confidentiality in line with HIPAA guidelines. In addition to individual and couples therapy, I bring my experience as a corporate speaker and advocate for mental health to offer insights on topics such as burnout prevention, resilience, and building belonging—helping you apply tools for well-being beyond our sessions. My goal is to support you every step of the way toward meaningful and lasting change.
