My passion as a Mental Health Counselor has been and continues to be the ability to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, as well as their families. I assist my clients in learning how to manage their stressors, gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors, and enhance their emotions and bonds with their supportive networks. The majority of my experience has focused on working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, parent/child conflicts, anger, adjustment, and women-related issues. I use different approaches in therapy but have a strong background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College. My dedication is to provide clients with a supportive and welcoming environment while also assisting them in better understanding their behaviors, perceptions, and thoughts. As an individual who has played many roles in life, I stand with many when we say that life has its challenges. My goal is to create an inviting and welcoming environment for you while I help guide you on this new journey called therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm open minded and have worked with clients that come from different backgrounds, cultures and spiritual beliefs. I believe that honesty, open space for healthy conversations along with healthy challenges is beneficial to our therapeutic relationship; I encourage clients to speak up without any fears of prejudices or rejection. I meet with clients virtually on an online platform. The frequency of sessions will vary by the need of the client. I hope to see you soon.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting off this journey with me as your therapist would look a bit like this. Our first couple of sessions will be focused on gaining insight into the concerns that you are observing while also getting to know one another. I tell clients that this time is to focus on getting comfortable with therapy while I explain what I do as a Therapist. We definitely want to work through any nerves. As we are talking for those sessions, I do gather information, provide assessments in order for me to better gage what the presenting problems are and how it's impacting your life; this also helps with diagnosing. From there, we discuss what the treatment plan will look like moving forward and now, we are really beginning this journey called "Healing."
