Hi, and thank you for being here! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings—including psychiatric hospitals, DBT programs, outpatient therapy, alternative and special education schools, corrections, and family-based therapy. These experiences have helped me understand how unique each person’s journey is, and how important it is to meet people exactly where they are. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel comfortable and understood. Together, we’ll build a plan that fits your needs—whether that means gaining more control over your thoughts, managing emotions, or making changes in behavior that support your overall well-being. I truly believe in the power of collaboration and connection in the healing process, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. Whatever you're going through, you're not alone—and I'm honored to be a part of your path toward feeling better.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in treating personality disorders, as well as a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I use a blend of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients better understand themselves and build practical tools for everyday life. In our sessions, we’ll work together to explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck—whether those involve intense emotions, difficulties in relationships, or unhelpful ways of thinking. DBT can help you build skills to manage overwhelming emotions and improve communication. CBT focuses on identifying and shifting negative thought patterns, while mindfulness helps increase self-awareness and bring a sense of calm and clarity to the present moment. My goal is to make therapy a safe, supportive, and collaborative space. We’ll take things at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. Whether you're working through a specific diagnosis or just trying to feel more balanced and in control, I’m here to help you gain insight, build skills, and move forward with confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is flexible and collaborative—I believe that every client is different, so sessions should reflect what works best for you. Some clients prefer more structure and guidance, and in those cases, I’m happy to take the lead and help shape the conversation. Others prefer a more open space to talk freely and decide what feels most important to focus on that day. We’ll discuss together what you’re most comfortable with and adjust as needed along the way. When we first begin working together, I typically like to explore your current symptoms and experiences so we can understand what’s going on right now. From there, we’ll start identifying patterns and connections that might be contributing to how you’re feeling. Over time, this can help us develop insight, build skills, and work toward meaningful change. Most importantly, we’ll always keep your individual needs at the center of our work. Sessions can be adapted at any point to make sure you’re getting the support that feels right for you.

More information on payments and coverage

I currently accept Aetna, Cigna, and Optum insurance. I unfortunately do not accept Medical Assistance or Medicaid at this time. If you're interested in starting therapy with me, I’ll send you an email that will guide you through entering your insurance information so we can verify your coverage before your first session. If you're paying out of pocket, I can provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt of the services you’ve received. You can submit this directly to your insurance company to request reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits. While I can’t guarantee reimbursement, many clients are able to receive partial coverage this way. If you have any questions about your insurance or payment options, I’m happy to help guide you through the process and make it as simple as possible.
