Taylor Leisher, LCPC

Psychotherapist
30 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1609, Chicago, IL
Psychotherapy provides an opportunity for a deepened experience, where we can learn both about how you came to be who you are and how you can grow toward something new. I recognize this process as inherently vulnerable, and as such, I offer warm gentleness with honest words to help you feel comfortable within the therapeutic process, allowing you to explore yourself and engage with the world and your relationships in newfound ways. As a psychoanalytic therapist trained through a fellowship at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis and holding a Master's in Counseling from Northwestern University, I hold the belief that our past informs our present, often in ways that elude us. Through understanding and navigating your development via a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, we can begin a process of healing and working through your emotional world, allowing for a sense of relief, insight, and connection to emerge. While I earnestly welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences, I offer particular expertise helping survivors of complex childhood trauma, survivors of sexual abuse, those struggling with problematic sexual behaviors, and LGBTQ+, Asian-American, Pacific Islander, Indigenous, and Mixed-Race people. I am currently seeing patients only in person.
