Getting to know Taylor Mackie

Whether you are starting therapy for the first time or returning after a pause, you are making an investment in yourself. That said, I understand the process can bring a wave of emotions, which is why it is of the utmost importance to me to create a safe and affirming space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you navigate life’s challenges. I truly believe an authentic therapeutic relationship provides the foundation for lasting healing. I am passionate about supporting people who struggle with addiction, many of whom have felt stigmatized and unfairly “put into a box.”

What should a new client know about working with you?

Additionally, I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and supporting young adults as they navigate major life transitions. As a queer therapist, I also value working with LGBTQ+ clients as they explore their identities and experiences. Utilizing evidence-based approaches, I help clients care for their emotional needs and navigate overwhelming feelings.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you feel seen and supported as we work to understand and regulate your emotions. I’ll help you explore and reshape patterns of thought and behaviors that no longer serve you. I deeply respect the courage it takes to heal and am honored to be part of that process.

Taylor’s been extremely helpful with my recovery journey. Although it’s been bumpy she’s help me navigate everything.
Taylor is super understanding and easy to talk to. My appointments start right on time!
Wanted treatment for my anxiety and tips for better managing my stress.
My visit started on time. I liked Kristina.
Highly recommend.
First year in sobriety and although AA and my sponsor have been really helpful, I needed additional support to get back on my feet. So far so good!
Dealing with a hard separation, work stress and unknowns. Coming to therapy has helped me learn to cope with stress better. I wasn’t sleeping or eating because I felt so anxious.
Taylor has been helping me make sense of what has been bothering me for quite some time and helping me identify the next steps to change behaviors that are no longer helping me.
She was helpful. I have seen other therapists in the past and I felt judged. I was able to b honest and not feel bad for past bad choices.
I came in feeling pretty wrecked, especially around addiction stuff, and she met me with zero judgment. Taylor knows how to hold space for the messy, complicated parts while still helping you move forward. She’s warm, direct and really grounded.
Great therapist. I would totally recommend her.
I came to therapy because stress was taking over my life, and I found myself pouring a glass of wine most nights just to cope. My first session felt intimidating, but my therapist listened without judgment and helped me see why I’d fallen into these habits. After three visits, I’m already noticing small shifts like catching my perfectionist thinking and trying a calming breath exercise instead of reaching for wine. It’s not an overnight fix, but these sessions feel like a true partnership, and I finally believe life doesn’t have to feel this overwhelming. If you’re on the fence, I’d say give it a try having someone guide me toward healthier choices has made all the difference.
Taylor is such a patient and kind person to work with. I always feel very good after our sessions, and she has a wonderful way of making me feel positive about everything.
I’ve been l juggling a demanding job and constant worry, and it finally started to feel impossible to date or connect with anyone without my anxiety hijacking everything.Therapy has given me a little hope that I can manage my anxiety instead of it managing me
