Tehila Zuroff, LMSW

Psychotherapist
NY
Tehila Zuroff is a limited Licensed Master’s Social Worker in the states of Michigan and New York. She obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University. She works best with female clients ages 18 and up. Tehila’s clients often struggle with depression, anxiety, life changes, and relationship conflict. FAVORITE SELF-CARE One of my go-to methods for self-care is listening to music, as it serves as a therapeutic escape, helping me unwind and shift my focus. Exercise is another big part of my self-care—whether it’s a brisk walk outdoors or a workout session, the physical activity makes me feel great. I also love talking to friends, just catching up or sharing thoughts and ideas, because it creates a support system and helps me feel more closely connected to others. FUN FACTS I have a twin sister! I enjoy doing makeup. I play piano. I love listening to books on Audible. LIFE MOTTOS I love the phrase “It’s okay not to be okay” because it grants permission for vulnerability and authenticity. In a world that often emphasizes the need to appear strong and put together, this phrase reminds us that experiencing challenges, struggles, or emotions that aren’t positive is a natural part of being human. It encourages self-compassion and allows us to acknowledge difficulties without judgment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm a dedicated therapist committed to helping clients navigate life's challenges and achieve greater fulfillment. With a focus on managing work-life balance and fostering healthier relationships, I guide individuals in developing the skills and tools needed to overcome obstacles and enhance their overall well-being. My philosophy centers on empowering clients to tap into their own strengths and inner resources, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives. I draw upon evidence-based practices, incorporating elements from attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and mindfulness-based interventions to support clients on their journey towards personal growth and transformation. Growing up, I always believed that every single person has a unique and valuable story that deserves to be heard and deeply understood. Within each person there is a beautiful array of experiences, feelings, thoughts, ideas, goals and dreams, encompassing all the ups and downs of life, as well as the intricate details that shape your personal journey. As a therapist, I feel privileged to be invited into your inner world, witnessing your strength, and I am committed to honoring the depth and significance of what you choose to share. My job is to create a truly safe space where you can feel comfortable being your whole authentic self. No matter the challenges you may be facing, I am here to provide support and guidance as we navigate through them together in therapy. We can work collaboratively to understand the impact of these challenges on your life and identify skills and coping mechanisms that can aid in your journey. Whether you’re navigating personal struggles, relationship issues, or life transitions, my goal is to empower you to discover insights, develop resilience, and embark on a path towards positive change..

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I always start with a thorough intake to get to know what brings you into therapy at this time. I want to learn about your family, how you grew up, positive experiences and any traumatic events that you've made it through. We will, together, formulate a treatment plan to help support your goals. I will focus on your strengths to pull from and offer support/coping skills to help you thrive.
