Getting to know Temperance Lampe
I am qualified as a Therapist/Mental Health Provider in North Carolina under my LCSW-A license #P019764 after obtaining my MA from New York University in May, 2023. Below is my work history to present with my employment at Counseling Professionals PLLC starting in January, 2024 until present in my role as a mental health provider meeting the needs of the community. The population I serve includes ages from 18 to 90 who identify as Women, Men, Non-binary, LGBTQA+and below are the different dynamics, approaches, conditions, and situations I work with in counseling. I provide counseling services under the supervision of Susan Clifton MSW LCSW-S License #C002933. As part of Counseling Professionals PLLC's drive for oversite and improvement institution, I receive consultation and emergency consultation from Counseling Professionals PLLC Supervision Committee within 24 hours. I will do an addition consultation with License # under CJ Leach MS NCC LCMHCS Specifically within 1 month of awareness of any non-urgent ethical or legal situations or concerns that may develop in the course of normal counseling with the purpose of best practices for the highest standards of care. Their contact information will be provided later in this document. My license is set to be renewed on 09/07/2025. I work with Counseling Professionals PLLC to file for renewal months in advance to try to maintain continuity of care. If there is ever an issue in my licensure, I will work with you to find resources while the issue is being address.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I specialize in helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and other sources of emotional pain such as relational concerns, life transitions, and compulsive sexual behavior. My approach to therapy is tailored to the needs of each individual client. I provide a safe, supportive, and empathic environment to help clients develop emotional resilience and obtain valuable insight into their own minds. My aim is to facilitate the development of clients’ potentialities so that they can see themselves as agents of their their own lives while acknowledging the systems we exist within that are beyond our control.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In session, I incorporate several therapeutic techniques to fit the individual needs of every client, and I focus on psychodynamic, relational, narrative, and person-centered approaches. I find it important to acknowledge the value I place on approaching therapy from an intersectional frame of mind, as well as my role as a safe space for LGBTQ+ clients.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I recognize the need for a nuanced understanding of the intersectional experiences queer folks hold. For this reason and more, I am committed to approaching every client with open curiosity while providing compassionate, individualized care.
