Tera Reid, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NC
Hello, I'm Tera, a licensed clinical social worker with Cultivating Peace Therapeutic Services. I am a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and Clark Atlanta University, where I obtained my bachelor's and master's degrees in social work, respectively. With over 20 years of experience as a social worker and a decade as a therapist, I've dedicated my career to supporting young adults in juvenile justice, foster care, and educational settings. Additionally, I've worked with agencies addressing HIV/AIDS and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. I've always had a servant's heart, and I believe in serving others by helping them to 'grow their peace.' My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone has the potential to find inner peace and resilience, even in the face of life's challenges. I specialize in adolescent and teen mental and behavioral health, anxiety, depression, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, and trauma. Whether you're navigating a difficult period in your life or seeking to understand and manage your emotions better, I'm here to support you. In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and non-judgmental space where we work collaboratively to explore your thoughts and feelings. My approach is client-centered, meaning I tailor our work to meet your unique needs and goals. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth. Outside of my professional life, I am deeply committed to the values of empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that honors your individual experiences and promotes healing and empowerment. If you're ready to take the next step in your journey towards peace and well-being, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work towards cultivating the peace you deserve.
