My name is Teresa Fuller, and I am a licensed clinical social work board-approved supervisor in the state of Texas. Originally from the Evergreen State, Seattle, Washington, I graduated top of my class from the University of Washington School of Social Work with a Master’s in Social Work through an advanced standing program. Endorsed by the Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP), my primary concentration was in children, youth, and families. After relocating to Houston, Texas, I began my journey into mental health. I have over 15 years of experience working in mental health, with more than 10 years specifically serving special populations such as veterans, sex offenders, individuals with special needs, geriatric clients, LGBTQ individuals, and those involved in child welfare. I have worked with several disorders, most commonly depression, bipolar 1 and 2, borderline personality disorder, traumatic stress, attachment disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, ADHD in children and adults, childhood trauma, and more. Having served various communities facing diverse challenges, I have developed a broad spectrum of experience and expertise related to health and well-being. Through this journey of discovery, I find that those who embrace the idea of holistic healing experience greater success on their healing journey. I believe we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. This belief has shaped both my practice approach and my personal journey. True connection begins with you, and I love to help individuals place the ‘You’ back in Universe.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I view a person in their environment which allows me to view take a holistic approach to their treatment planning. I believe in taking a client-centered strength-based approach to building rapport and developing a therapeutic alliance with my clients. I believe in individualized treatment planning that is specific to the unique needs of each client; i do not believe in cookie cutter therapy. I approach each client with an open mind that allows me to see them and their needs clearly so we are able to develop an approach to treatment that is specific to who they are as well as where they are on their healing journey. All efforts and work is done collaboratively with my client; we are a team; I work only as hard as you do. I meet my clients where they are at in their journey and allow them to drive the boat as fast or slow as they need to go; It is my job to provide light and guidance while the client steers. I stay on top of the most current research and information so that I am able to provide the best evidenced based practice as possible. It is my goal and duty to do no harm and to ensure that I am providing the absolute best service that I possibly can to my clients. I offer talk therapy, coaching as well as holistic therapy that focuses on spirituality and energy healing. Sessions vary depending on the type of services you seek. In all sessions you are the expert on you and I am the catalyst. My main goal, initially, is to build a strong therapeutic alliance with clients, as it increases client success. My ultimate goal is to empower clients to uncover and embrace their "superpowers" – those inherent strengths, abilities and unique talents, qualities, and perspectives that make them truly exceptional.
