Hello, I'm Teresa. Growing up in Ohio, my journey to becoming a therapist was anything but linear. After graduating high school, I married, had three wonderful children, and went through a divorce before deciding to pursue my passion for Psychology. From the moment I started my studies, I knew I had found my calling. I have extensive experience working in various settings, including outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and residential environments. I've had the opportunity to conduct family, group, and individual counseling, but my true love lies in outpatient counseling. I believe that in this setting, we can achieve so much together. My career began in Domestic Violence counseling, which provided me with a strong foundation for understanding complex emotional and psychological issues. I then transitioned into working with Drug and Alcohol counseling and Mental Health. I am licensed by the state of Ohio to diagnose and treat any mental health disorder, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My areas of expertise include trauma, addictions, mood disorders, and adjustment disorders. When you work with me, you can expect a compassionate and supportive environment where your unique experiences and challenges are honored. I am here to help you navigate through life's difficulties, whether you're dealing with addiction, anxiety, depression, family relationships, grief, PTSD, spirituality, stress, or trauma.
