Getting to know Teresa Wilson

There is no shame in needing some help to get over humps, to work through current issues that may be hindering you from seeing the good things in life, or even to work through years of painful experiences or trauma. We are all human and at many points throughout life need to reach out to someone for help, whether it is from friends, family, or professionals. Reaching out can be difficult and a bit scary, but rest assured you are making the right choice and taking a huge step in the right direction. We will walk through this journey together. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master's in Addiction Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I enjoy helping people heal from their pain of trauma, PTSD, DID, depression, anxiety, grief, anger, and life problems. Techniques I often use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with some Mindfulness mixed in. These are great and very beneficial, and without a doubt will help you. Biblical counseling is offered to those who ask for it.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy helping people who are in need of healing from trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, anger, DID, and SRA.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Each session there will be a variety of learning, discussion, and processing.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
