Psychotherapist

Have you ever caught yourself thinking, "I'm struggling, but it's probably not bad enough to get help"? That thought alone might be a sign it's time to talk to someone — and you don't have to be in crisis to deserve support. I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, big life changes, and the kind of everyday stress that quietly wears you down. I also walk alongside women through pregnancy and the postpartum season, and I offer Christian counseling for those who want faith to be part of their healing. My hope is that you leave every session feeling a little lighter — and maybe even laughing once or twice. I take the work seriously, but I also believe warmth and humor have a real place in healing. This is a space where you can just be you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

No two people are the same, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I pull from a mix of different therapeutic styles depending on what you need — sometimes that looks like digging into the deeper roots of what you're carrying, and sometimes it's more about building real, practical tools you can actually use between sessions. Usually it's both. I'll always be in your corner — but I also won't let you stay stuck. Part of my job is to gently nudge you toward perspectives you might not have considered on your own. I promise to do that with kindness, not judgment. At the end of the day, you're the expert on your own life. I'm just here to help you trust that a little more.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session is really just about getting comfortable. We'll take it slow — I'll get to know you, you'll get to know me, and we'll talk about what brought you in. No pressure, no agenda. Just a conversation. From there, we'll figure out together what you actually want to get out of this — and build a plan that feels right for you. Some sessions might feel more like deep reflection, others more like rolling up your sleeves and working on concrete skills. Most land somewhere in between. My hope is that you always leave with something — whether that's a fresh perspective, a new tool in your pocket, or just the relief of finally saying something out loud that you've been carrying for a while.
