As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), I've been specializing in therapy for psychiatric and substance use disorders for over 16 years. My career began at Florida Atlantic University earning a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree and later pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Florida State University. I then obtained my Ph.D. from Carolina University, allowing me to further enhance my expertise.
Since 2006, I’ve been working at Jerome Golden Center for Behavioral Health, where I've provided therapy for over 13 years, honing my skills in various methodologies like Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in addressing issues such as anger management, emotional regulation, trauma, and relapse prevention, which are essential for clients' recovery.
I decided to start my private practice in 2019, called Team House LLC, aiming to personalize therapy depending on clients' unique needs. Despite my self-employement, my commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care remains strong.
Throughout my career, seeing the significant impact in my clients' lives serves as the ultimate reward. Witnessing transformations from overcoming addiction and learning to manage mental health, to rebuilding their lives and thriving, strengthens my passion and dedication.
