“I am so glad I found her. I was so skeptical, trying to find somebody in my network, who I thought could relate to me based on reviews. And I really lucked up when I found her she really listens she’s understanding and when she hears something that I’m not actually saying she cares enough to dig deeper for my own benefit. She’s helped me with my eating disorder, we’re working on a workbook that is very beneficial. I could not have asked for a better therapist. ?”

Getting to know Terri Evans

Hi, my name is Terri Evans. I am an energetic, efficient Licensed Professional Counselor who also holds the Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor designation in Georgia. I earned my Master's in Professional Counseling from South University. I have experience working with individuals in outpatient, inpatient, and virtual mental health and addiction settings. Additionally, I have worked in community mental health, serving individuals with persistent and severe mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Gender Dysphoria, and more. With over 13 years of experience, I have worked with individuals from all walks of life aiming to either ?make a change? or ?be the change.? I believe that compliance, rapport, and partnering with clients allow for better identification and ?buy-in? of resolutions. I incorporate a client-centered approach, enabling me to build the necessary rapport to make therapy less intimidating as clients work toward their goals. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, Holistic, Psychodynamic, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My compassion and empathetic demeanor encourage clients to discuss their deepest emotions and experiences. I meet clients ?where they are,? providing a safe, nonjudgmental space with respect, transparency, genuineness, warmth, and engagement. I believe in addressing the whole person-mind, body, and spirit. I believe individuals are doing the best they can, and with mindfulness and taking life one moment at a time, we can learn to manage stress and develop better coping skills for serious illness, anxiety, depression, and other mental health and addiction concerns. Always remember, small progress is still progress!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

My therapist was on time, a good listener. What I really like about her is she is goal oriented, and she likes to give out homework, but she asked me how do I feel about it first. We are working on short term goals first. Something that's realistic, but also things that I also struggle with.
