Hello, thank you for visiting my page. I am Thais Navarrete, a psychologist graduated from the Central University of Venezuela and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Florida. I completed specialized training in Psychodrama, Gestalt Therapy, and Group Dynamics, as well as a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family & Child Therapy at the California Family Study Center in Los Angeles. There, I participated in the creation of the university’s first program specialized in the treatment of Latino families. I have been practicing in Miami, Florida, since 1995. I maintain a private practice, both in-person and remote, and help patients in different parts of the world. I work with individuals, couples, LGBTQ+ clients and children. My approach is empathetic and grounded in the family systems model, using a variety of techniques tailored to each patient’s specific needs, including clinical hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), among others. For seven years, I directed a program for psychiatric patients at Miami Behavioral Health Center. Later, I led therapeutic groups for older adults and facilitated personal growth workshops for children and adults. At Clínica El Ávila in Caracas, I designed and taught a multidisciplinary workshop for several years, training couples in techniques for managing pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting, as well as providing individual therapy. With the desire to share what I have learned from my patients, I have published four novels in Spanish on Amazon. Their stories — inspired by real life — are deep, impactful, and often humorous. I also developed a children’s manual, in English and Spanish, for the application of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), aimed at helping parents, caregivers, and educators teach children to identify and manage their emotions, develop empathy, and support others in moments of distress through stories and educational songs.
