Psychotherapist
NJ
My passion for becoming a therapist was deeply grounded in my own counseling experience, which sparked a transformative journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and fulfillment. Having experienced the profound impact of trauma, depression, and anxiety firsthand, I dedicated my career to helping others navigate and overcome feelings of sadness and hopelessness. Our minds can get caught in a vicious, negative cycle that holds us back, but there are ways to break free from these destructive thinking patterns. This life-changing experience has inspired me to create a safe and supportive space where others can begin their own journey of growth and self-discovery. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, which equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support individuals through their healing journeys. Do you often feel on edge, trying to heal from past trauma while managing daily responsibilities? Frequently, people who have experienced trauma develop remarkable survival skills. However, the strategies that were essential for coping during traumatic times can sometimes become problematic in daily life. I will help you grow, reconnect, and heal from past experiences, enabling you to thrive and rediscover yourself. Together, we will focus on identifying what makes you feel safe, helping you reconnect, repair, and start the healing process. We will also work on identifying triggers, reframing and challenging troubling thoughts, and finding ways to calm your nervous system so you can feel better.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I firmly believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. Whether our challenges feel large or small, we all have aspects of ourselves that we can work on and improve. I will meet you where you are at. My therapy practice is grounded in the belief that every individual has inherent worth and unlimited potential for growth and happiness. I understand that challenges can obstruct our ability to experience joy and live fully, and that's where therapy can make a significant impact. My top priority is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel genuinely heard as we work together towards meaningful change. My role in this environment is to listen, offer support, and help guide you toward your goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I admire your bravery in showing up and your willingness to look at your life and your patterns, as well as your willingness to share your experiences with someone new. Our first few sessions together will provide us with the opportunity to get to know one another. I take an inquisitive and thorough approach to understanding your story, asking questions to gain deeper insight into the issues you want to address in therapy. I hope to have a sense of your strengths, interests, and what makes you unique. We will work together to establish concrete and meaningful goals tailored specifically to you. These sessions are an opportunity for you to get to know me and my style, while also helping me identify the patterns that may be contributing to your struggles.
