Getting to know Thien Nguyen

Hello! My name is Thien Nguyen, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I enjoy working with young adults and adults on issues such as depression and anxiety, life stress, relationships and family challenges, adjustment and transitions, and trauma. My experience includes working with teens, adolescents, adults in community mental health settings, college students, and hospitals. Fun fact about me: I have two furbabies—a dog named Kobe and a cat named Joey. I love hiking and spending time in nature, which is how I practice mindfulness and relax.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In your first session, I will be getting to know you by completing an intake. I will be asking you questions to determine what you are struggling with and also to help you create goals you would like to achieve while in therapy with me.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
