Tiffany Culvert, LPC

Tiffany Culvert, LPC

Psychotherapist
PA
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Philadelphia, PA. I hold a Bachelor's degree and an MEd in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. I specialize in Couples and Individual therapy for adults. I started my practice, Hello Therapy, because I believe in the power of therapy and am dedicated to supporting people on their journeys of healing and growth. Many clients I see seek therapy for anxiety, depression, life transitions, or relationship stress. They may struggle to feel present in their lives or experience communication difficulties and conflict in their relationships. In our work together, we explore the root of these challenges to gain insight and clarity into your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. We uncover unhelpful patterns and replace them with more satisfying ways of thinking and engaging, ultimately increasing life satisfaction and fostering more secure relationships. My practice is affirming of all intersecting identities and honors cultural backgrounds. I approach my work through a trauma-informed, social justice lens.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I utilize a client centered, collaborative approach that is grounded in evidenced based theories to help you achieve your goals. My primary focus is that you feel heard, comfortable and confident in our work together. I am also trained in Trauma Focused - CBT, and draw on treatment strategies from this method in my work with clients around trauma. I have completed Level 3 Training in the Gottman Method. In our work together couples therapy begins with reviewing relationship strengths and areas of concern, and includes a comprehensive relationship assessment, that provides feedback specific to your relationship utilizing the Gottman Relationship Check-up.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

All of our sessions would be conducted virtually utilizing a secure HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. We begin therapy together by identifying your areas of concerns and exploring who you are as an individual. In couples session we begin by exploring the history of the relationship, the things that brought together and the reasons you are seeking couples therapy. This will be followed up with a comprehensive assessment.
