Opening up to someone you don't know, talking about things you've spent a long time trying to manage on your own, and trusting someone to understand you isn't easy. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adolescents, young adults, and adults, with a particular focus on trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, and emotional challenges that can sometimes feel difficult to put into words. I have a special passion for working with teenagers because those years can be complicated enough on their own. Add trauma, anxiety, family stress, school pressures, friendships, relationships, or simply trying to figure out who you are, and it can feel like a lot to carry. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I don't believe therapy should feel like you're sitting across from someone waiting to be told what's wrong with you. Therapy should be a place where you can be honest, ask questions, laugh when you need to, and talk about the things that may be harder to say anywhere else. I use evidence-based approaches, including CBT and trauma-informed interventions, while tailoring treatment to the person sitting in front of me. Most importantly, you don't have to go through everything alone. I’m here to meet you where you are, without judgment, and help you work toward where you want to be. We’ll take it one step at a time.

What should a new client know about working with you?

If you're the kind of person who has spent a long time being the person who holds everything together, you deserve support too. Sometimes we become really good at functioning while quietly struggling underneath. Therapy can be a place to finally slow down, make sense of what you've been carrying, and learn healthier ways of moving forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying the challenges or goals you'd like to focus on. From there, we work together to develop an approach that feels realistic and meaningful to your life. Depending on your needs, sessions may focus on exploring past experiences, recognizing patterns, developing coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, and building confidence in navigating everyday challenges. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've never had the experience before. My goal is to meet you where you are, move at a pace that feels comfortable, and help you recognize that progress doesn't have to happen all at once. Therapy is a space for growth, self-discovery, and learning to give yourself the same understanding and compassion you extend to others.
