Tiffany Wilkinson, LCSW

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello and welcome! Congratulations on taking this step in your health and wellbeing! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have been in the social work field since 2017, gaining experience in diverse settings and working with various populations facing a range of stressors and conditions. Over the past several years, my primary focuses have included substance abuse, life transitions and stressors, and relationship challenges (family, marital, work, etc.). I take an open-minded, accepting, and, when appropriate, humorous approach to life's challenges. I recognize that clients are their own experts. This process is an opportunity for clients to educate me about themselves and their reasons for seeking support. We build rapport throughout our time together. I start sessions by checking in and focusing on whatever topic feels most pressing. Together, we will identify stressors and develop goals. People do not seek therapists when everything is great. I understand that, for whatever reason you are seeking therapy, it is likely a difficult and stressful time. My goal is to create a safe and comforting space free of judgment, where we can work together and you can navigate whatever life's challenges you are facing at this time.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I recognize that clients are their own experts. We will work together to identify stressors and develop goals. Progress is recognized by you in your daily life, such as less stress, better coping, or making a difficult decision. My goal is to listen, empower, and support you during our time together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy is client centered. Therapy is not a one size fits all. We will work together to identify stressors and goals. I will utilize relevant and appropriate interventions, based on your needs. We will often review and discuss what is working and what is not and adjust accordingly. You are an active participant and decision maker in your therapy.
