Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Tikisha! I’m Kisha Walwyn-Duquesnay, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor with a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. I help women overcome workplace Imposter Syndrome, despite being fully capable of having their dream career, through weekly virtual therapy sessions. My approach I have a collaborative approach that includes CBT, REBT, motivational interviewing, and ART, in a judgment-free zone. My focus My clients are smart and capable women who feel overwhelmed by the depression and anxiety caused by workplace Imposter Syndrome. They face microaggressions regularly and need help navigating those challenges. My communication style My communication style is open, non-judgmental, communicative, and encouraging. Our sessions feel like talking to someone who cares because they can identify with what you are going through professionally and culturally. My journey to mental healthcare As a minority-female psychotherapist, my mission extends far beyond traditional therapy. I'm dedicated to empowering women to prioritize their mental health. I’m committed to serving minority women who have historically been underrepresented in mental health care. These women deserve culturally informed support from a clinician who understands their unique experiences without requiring exhaustive cultural explanations. I choose to serve this community because it’s my community. I want to inspire women to challenge toxic social pressures and create the lives they’ve always dreamed of. My goals for you I help clients clarify which goals will make the biggest impact or be easiest to start among their concerns. I’m here to ensure you don’t go through the process alone. My first session with you In our first session, we’ll discuss what brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll decide on the best ways to help you make progress. We may explore past or current events and the feelings attached to them.
