Getting to know Timothy Gould

Hello, I'm Tim. With over two decades of experience, I've dedicated my career to helping individuals and families navigate their mental health journeys. I hold a Master of Psychological Counseling, a Master of Administration, and a Doctorate in Education. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, my approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe in helping clients process their issues to become more aware of how things can change for the better. I've had the privilege of working with adolescents in psychiatric units and residential units for those with severe emotional disorders and trauma for 14 years. Additionally, I have extensive experience working in an opioid clinic, supporting addicts and their families. My long-term therapy work includes family, couples, marriage, and divorce counseling, as well as alcohol and drug counseling. I've also worked with sex offenders in the Missouri State Sex Offender Unit. In my career, I've founded and started two non-profit mental health, family support, and counseling agencies, which have been in continuous operation for 24 and 18 years, respectively. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the complexities of mental health and the importance of a supportive therapeutic environment. Specializing in addiction, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, antisocial behavior, children's mental/behavioral health, family relationships, trauma, and offering SonderMind Video Telehealth, I am committed to providing comprehensive care tailored to each client's unique needs. My goal is to create a safe space where clients feel heard and supported as they work towards their personal goals. Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in mental health care.
