Psychotherapist
9800B McKnight Rd, Ste 106, Pittsburgh, PA
Hi, I'm so glad you're here. I'm a therapist with over a decade of experience, including 8 years in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma hospital, 5 years doing crisis work, and 3+ years in private practice. I've sat with people in their darkest moments and I know how to be truly present and hold that space with you. I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, and women's health. I can also support you through life transitions. Those moments when everything feels like too much, or when you're not quite sure how you got here. I am LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming, and I strive to create a space that feels genuinely safe and welcoming for everyone. I'm experienced and comfortable working with suicidal ideation. If that's part of your story, you won't scare me off. You can bring all of it. I have a soft spot for fellow healthcare and medical professionals; I understand the toll that work takes in a way that's hard to put into words. Women's health is something I care deeply about, and I genuinely relate to the many challenges women face. My approach is genuine, grounded, and collaborative. I show up as my full self, meet you where you are, and we figure out the rest together and yes, we might even laugh a little along the way.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You identify what you want to work on, and together we figure out your goals and the best way to get there. You get to choose and direct the course of your therapy, the approach we take depends entirely on you and what you're ready for. Because you know yourself better than anyone. I'll meet you where you are, no judgment, no pressure to be further along than you are. And somewhere along the way, there's usually some laughter too.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is conversational, but we cover what we need too. I'll ask some questions to get a real picture of what's going on for you, but there's no rigid script. You don't have to have it all figured out before we meet. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you've tried before, and what you're hoping for. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including EMDR and ACT amongst others, and tailor everything to you because there's no one-size-fits-all in therapy. We'll figure out together what actually helps.
