Tina Avila, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Tina! Thanks for visiting my page. I'm Tina Avila, LMFT in California. I am a solution-focused brief therapist who focuses on increasing hope, positive outcomes, desired change, and empowering clients to be the best version of themselves despite experiencing problems or issues. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and my Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles. My approach I utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help my clients achieve their goals. This type of therapy focuses on solutions rather than problems. It is a time-limited and goal-oriented approach that emphasizes finding solutions to specific issues or challenges. SFBT is based on the idea that people have the resources and strengths necessary to overcome their problems and that the therapist's role is to help clients identify and utilize these resources. My focus I enjoy working with professionals and parents who need help with work-life balance, stress management, relationship issues, and family challenges. My communication style I am a direct communicator but can also be gentle and empathetic when needed.
