Getting to know Tina Schmidt

Hi! I'm Tinamarie Schmidt, LCSW. I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, and I have 8 years as a fully licensed therapist. I work from a strongly collaborative position in the therapeutic relationship - you decide your desired outcome and we work at your pace. I have VERY broad clinical experience with everything from child welfare, inpatient care, substance abuse, trauma and first responder and veteran care. That being said, I adore working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression and especially those whose difficulties have been affecting their very valued relationships and life goals, and they desperately don't want to lose those relationships and want help pursuing those life goals and need some help identifying and communicating their needs, boundaries, and intentions. I bring 100% authenticity to the client/therapist relationship. I am NOT a blank slate and a head nodding therapist. If you like someone that not only holds space for you but sits IN the space with you and brings life and sarcasm (and sometimes colorful language) into the sessions, we may work well together.
