Tina Schumacher, LCSW

Psychotherapist
WI
Hi there, I'm Tina! My name is Tina Schumacher, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Wisconsin who provides telehealth services statewide. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I work with adolescents and adults, as well as couples and families. Over the last 25 years, I have supported people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, trauma, and addictions of any kind. My approach to therapy is to see each person as unique and listen to truly understand their experience. My approach I view therapy as a collaborative relationship that offers clients a safe space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach is integrative and tailored to each client's needs. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Trauma-Informed Care, Strengths-Based, Reality Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. My focus Many of the clients I see face challenges that began early in life and stem from family relationships. These difficulties often emerge in adulthood as anxiety, depression, stress, anger, and addiction, which can negatively affect relationships, parenting, and living to one's full potential. I also work with adolescents navigating the emotional ups and downs common during these formative years. My communication style I strive to communicate in a way that leaves you feeling heard, comfortable, and understood. My goal is to provide compassion, patience, encouragement, feedback, and authenticity to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. With my laid-back personality, I want clients to feel comfortable being themselves.
