Getting to know Tina Smith

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Texas and California, as well as a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider in Texas. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi. During my internship and after graduation, I primarily worked with adults undergoing major life changes. This includes Emerging Adults (18-25-ish) learning to navigate new expectations, mid-life transitions involving sexuality, children, careers, relationship types, and the chaos of life, as well as end-of-life decisions and stresses such as parents passing on, retirement choices, raising grandchildren, disease, and loss of friends and family. For individuals who have spent part of their lives in jails and prisons, adjusting to a world that changed while they were not active in it can be challenging. Helping you take the steps to understand your new normal is my privilege.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
