I support individuals in navigating life's difficult challenges involving mental health, decision-making, relationships, and working towards healing. My approach I work alongside you using a Person-Centered approach to promote self-actualization and empowerment. You have known and unknown strengths that will guide you in healing. My focus I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Your life environments, including home, family, work, school, and community, play an important role in understanding you. My communication style I value having a non-judgmental relationship with clients to promote a foundation of trust. I essentially want to sit next to you, not across from you, as we work to understand, heal, and move forward. My journey to mental healthcare I worked as a police officer for 12 years in a busy downtown. This led to thousands of interactions with people experiencing anxiety, depression, ptsd/trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, and would routinely talk with individuals who were suicidal. I found my own healing through counseling, yoga, and mindfulness, which led me here. My goals for you I will help establish a treatment plan that will meet your current needs and challenge you to promote growth within yourself. My first session with you Our first session will focus on me learning about what brought you here and what you would like to change, understand, and become. Our sessions will be built around what is most important to you, whether it be past or current experiences.
