Psychotherapist
TX
I am a CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) practitioner. My primary goal as a therapist is to assist clients in reaching their goals and maximizing happiness and well-being through cognitive and behavioral changes. My secondary goal is to equip clients with the necessary tools and skills to become their own therapist and self-help expert. I have been practicing and studying the philosophical roots of CBT since 2007. From 2007 to 2017, I worked as a CBT practitioner within the criminal justice system. During that time, I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington (2016) and became licensed in Texas (2017). Common issues I assist clients with include making desired changes such as anger management, substance abuse, and reducing distress related to depression and anxiety. I also help clients navigate significant life transitions, including terminal illness, loss, grief, aging issues, incarceration and re-entry, medical decline, and acceptance. Therapeutic sessions involve changing what can be changed, accepting what cannot, and applying cognitive and behavioral methods to maximize happiness and well-being. I practice a strengths-based form of CBT/Positive CBT, infused with its Stoic roots, emphasizing the truth that we have the power to change ourselves and enhance our own happiness and well-being. It is my hope that clients will gain the tools to become their own therapist and self-help expert!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
