Todd Rupper, MS

Psychotherapist
672 W 400 S, Ste 201, Springville, UT
I’m a mental health counselor at Stella Mental Health, where I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, substance use, and major life transitions. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 30 years in the tech field, which gives me a practical, problem-solving perspective that I bring into my work with clients. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and focused on helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing while building tools that actually work in your day-to-day life. I integrate evidence-based therapy with innovative options like TMS and ketamine-assisted therapy when appropriate, always tailoring care to your individual needs and goals.

Getting to know Todd Rupper

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a client-centered, nonjudgmental approach. You can expect a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—together, we’ll identify what’s most important to you and build a plan around that. I often draw from CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and meaning-focused therapy to help you better understand your thoughts and behaviors, while also reconnecting with your values and sense of purpose.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions focus on getting a clear understanding of what brought you in—your experiences, challenges, and goals. From there, we work collaboratively to identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and begin introducing practical strategies to help you move forward. Sessions are conversational and goal-oriented, with a balance of reflection and actionable steps. As we continue working together, we adjust the approach based on what’s helping most, so therapy stays relevant and effective for you.

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email from Stella Mental Health (formerly Numinus) containing your intake paperwork. Please allow about 30 minutes to complete this form. Your responses will help your provider prepare for your upcoming appointment. All patients are required to complete the intake form 24 business hours before their appointment. You will receive a phone call from one of our dedicated Care Advocates, who can answer any questions you may have. Please be prepared to provide a credit card to keep on file for co-pays or cancellation fees. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full intake appointment fee. During your intake appointment, you’ll spend 60 minutes with your provider collaborating on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. If in-person treatments are recommended—such as TMS, Spravato, DSR SGB, or ketamine therapy—our care team will guide you through the process and ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
