Tom is an experienced mental health professional, with 12 years of experience working as a therapist. Tom earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice at Laroche University and upon graduation, enlisted in the United States Army. After his time in the military, Tom changed course and obtained his master’s degree at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, in Clinical Psychology. While completing graduate school, he was then given the opportunity to work with adolescents as a juvenile probation officer for 2 years in the state of Texas. He has most recently worked with Wounded Warrior Project as a Combat Stress Recovery Specialist, conducting various styles of therapy with veterans and their families. Here he has worked with individuals and family members on ways to overcome anxiety, adversity, trauma, depression, and anger. Tom employs a unique way of conducting therapy, which is known as experiential learning and/or adventure-based counseling, which involves various ways of thinking, becoming more open minded, and increasing resiliency. ? Tom is very passionate when it comes to working with individuals through experiential learning, and thrives on his ability to build trust, relationships, and rapport with the individuals he works with. Tom also offers various ways to learn new coping skills, have fun and discover new ways of looking at life challenges.
