I have a Master’s degree in Family Therapy from Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College. I have training in a variety of treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Master Conflict Therapy, The Intersystems Model, and Systemic Sex Therapy/Sensate Focus. I also have experience incorporating meditation, guided imagery, and mindfulness-based practices drawing from both Eastern and Western mindfulness traditions to supplement these approaches. I have taught undergraduate courses on Marriage and Family Development at Philadelphia University and have lectured on a wide range of topics relating to therapy, postmodernism, psychopathology, human sexuality, and gender identity at institutions such as Thomas Jefferson University, Council for Relationships, Franklin Square Hospital, Temple University, and The Middleton Center. I welcome clients from all walks of life and have substantial experience working with sexual minorities including LGBTQ clients, kinky clients, and clients in non-traditional, nonmonogamous, and polyamorous relationships. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family, practicing martial arts, birding, exploring visual arts, following baseball, and volunteering at a wildlife hospital.
